Accreditation External agencies accredit – BBA degrees – HIM degrees – Secondary Education degrees Some programs are designated as meetings standards/requirements – CyberOps ( NSA; NSF, DHS) – Curriculum mapping, faculty credentials

Assessment Plans – Now There were no significant changes made to the assessment plans There were no major deficiencies identified by the program assessment evaluation groups

Assessment Plans – Next Year All plans will be reviewed by May Most plans will be updated AQIP project – More direct measures Curriculum changes – Plans need to be updated to match new programs – Exit exams need to be updated to match new curriculum

BBA Assessment plan adjustments (ongoing) – Refined student learning outcomes – In-course assessment (cross section analysis) Direct assessment measure ETS Major Field test is used – Overall goal score was met – 2 years of improvement after significant dip; not back to those level quite yet – Wide range indicates some student may not be taking it seriously

BBA Subscores provided from MFAT: Accounting, Economics, Management, Finance, Marketing Quantitative, International, IS Year to year variance is large due to relatively small samples – Multi-year trends are collected by the program faculty

BBA Impact of curriculum changes – Bus Tech just starting, not enough grads yet IS sub-scores are not where they should be – Faculty in that area have met and will begin to address weakness Flipped classrooms in some upper level courses – Improved learning, engagement, and critical thinking

HIM Program is quite strong – Leading the accreditation efforts in professional agencies Assessment measures were met except : – Major Field Exam: 89% (8/9) pass rather than 90 – Above national average on certification exam: 67% (4/6) rather than 70. Only -.12 on one. No changes

IS Declining enrollment is the major issue 14 students completed exit exam – Subscores (13 categories) show a few areas that are lower Curriculum changes for 2013-14 – Agile Development & Adv Proj Mgmt – Industry input Review curriculum

Bus Ed & Comp Ed Curriculum changes to increase Gen Ed options Program preparations for year-long student teaching in 2015 Small number for Praxis and student teaching evaluation/assessment – No concerns or adjustments

Game Full program implementation is just now producing graduates Strategic initiative on placement Need to develop rubrics and direct measures for: capstone projects, online portfolios, and portfolio essays

CSC No significant changes to curriculum – Core now supports CSC, Game, CyberOps Reviewing new ACM/IEEE curriculum guidelines to formalize assessment procedures – Considering CQI project Review MFAT subscores in more detail Impact of MS ACS

CONS CyberOps Program renamed; curriculum changed – Updated courses to match accreditation Big changes next year – Update assessment plan Focused program – Revise exit exam

NSA NSec Program renamed; curriculum changed – Pulled pieces from 3 programs to remodel Network & System Administration Big changes next year – Update assessment plan Focused program; Revise exit exam; will have 2 exams in transitional period
