What is it?!?1?! A flat, grass covered area located in a tropical region Typically contain scattered bushes and trees Savannas have distinct wet and dry seasons, and have vegetation dependent on the length of the two seasons

Fun Facts! For up to 5 months a year, the Tropical Savanna biome receives less than 4 inches of rainfall per month Tropical Savanna soil is very infertile, as demonstrated by its lack of lush vegetation

Best Time to Visit During the dry season, April through to October. Many areas are inaccessible during the Wet season, and climates and uncomfortably hot and humid.

Plant and Animal Adaptions Grass is so rampant in Tropical Savannas because the soil lack the ability to grow larger, more demanding plants. Animals like the elephant and gazelle are prominent in Tropical Savannas because there is a large amount of grass for them to graze on, and a scarcity of trees and shrubbery to hinder their movement.

Things to do When Visiting Go watch the animals ! The Tropical Savanna biome has some of the most beautiful animals in the world including the world's largest land mammal, the African elephant, the Nile crocodile, the hyena and many varieties of beetles, and ants! Makes sure to get your malaria shots though! Several different types of mosquito inhibit the Tropical Savanna biome.
