We are trying to find out why Soda (or basically any other liquid with CO2) makes a big explosion when physically mixed with Mentos candy. Problem’s gift Shop 1 mile

We believe that a piece of Mentos candy is like the moon. It has many little craters into which CO2 gets. When CO2 gets in the craters, something has to come out, air. The air comes out when CO2 gets in. The soda then flies out because of the extra pressure created by the air that gets out of a piece of Mentos ’ s craters. Hypothesis’s Hair Salon

We need to find all materials to conduct the experiment. We need to find a place to conduct the experiment. We need to conduct the experiment. Procedure's Mall 1 mile

Sprite 0.5 feet per Mento ( after ignition) Classic Coke 1.46 feet per Mento ( after ignition ) Diet Coke 2.05 feet per mento ( after ignition ) Results Academy

We used pictures and captions from Wikipedia. We took information from the captions of pictures we found about the history of “Soda And Mentos.” One of the pictures we found on Wikipedia. Org had a picture of items and different substances being used in an experiment. We then realized that if you put all the Mentos in at once, it would give you a lower eruption because if all the Mentos together fall in the soda, It would all go towards the ignition sequence. If that happens all the pressure would stay inside the bottle and it would be like a water rocket upside down. Explanation’s Museum

It turns out our hypothesis was correct. Nucleation is behind the mystery of “ Soda And Mentos ”. We can also conclude that we learned things like the meanings of some words like nucleation. We can also conclude we discovered some things ourselves like the fact that even with the same amount of Mentos Candy, putting them all in at once will give off a lower fountain. Putting some Mentos in first, then dropping the rest two seconds after the Mentos hit the soda, will give off a taller fountain. Source Wikipedia. Org Conclusion Hotel

Nucleation: “ Nucleation is the onset of a crystal in a small region. The phase transition can be the formation of a bubble or of a crystal from a liquid. Creation of liquid droplets in saturated vapor or the creation of gaseous bubbles in a saturated liquid is also characterized by nucleation (see Cloud condensation nuclei). Nucleation of crystalline, amorphous, and even vacancy clusters in solid materials is also important, for example to the semiconductor industry. Note that nucleation is a physical process, not a chemical process.” wikipedia.org Co2: is Carbon Dioxide Glossary Elementary School
