The Program Precalculus – 5 days a week, 7 weeks

The Program Precalculus – 5 days a week, 7 weeks Calculus I – 5 days a week, 7 weeks

The Program Precalculus – 5 days a week, 7 weeks Calculus I – 5 days a week, 7 weeks Receive 6 hours of credit – 3 towards the engineering major – 3 general elective – all transferable

The Program Eligibility – Based on SAT/ACT Mathematics scores SAT – 550 and 630 ACT - 24 and 27 Enrolled in English Composition I preferable

The Program Student has option to change to a regular Precalculus class within first 2 weeks

The Program Student has option to change to a regular Precalculus class within first 2 weeks Student can complete Precalculus and choose to withdraw from Calculus I

The Results Fall, 2005 37 enrolled 26 successfully completed Precalculus 27 successfully completed Calculus I 1 student with a D in Precalc. successfully completed Calc I 18 successfully completed Calculus II Several students changed major so only 22 attempted Calc. II

Conclusion A total of 35 students were ready for Calculus III or Differential Equations in their 3 rd semester
