4. He was born on January 6th, 1854 He lived in a flat (1st floor) at 221b Baker Street in London for many years (under the rent of Mrs Hudson) He lived with his friend John Watson (a Doctor)

5. HOWEVER The stories about him are just stories. He was created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859-1930). He first appeared in a book in 1887.

6. According to the stories people went to 221b BAKER STREET and asked Mr Holmes for help to solve mysteries.
