Audio Check If you can hear the presenter If you cannot hear the presenter IDLA will run an audio check every few minutes before this session starts:

Can’t Hear or Be Heard? If you’re having trouble hearing or being heard: Click on the telephone icon. A phone number and PIN number will pop up. You can use this if VOIP is not working, but please use it only as a backup. Telephone Audio Option

Answering Questions: Yes/No Using the Yes/No Indicators indicates a positive or "yes" response x indicates a negative or "no" response

Communicating: Hand Raise Using the Hand Raise Indicators The palm is the “raised hand” in a classroom; use this to get the presenter’s attention to ask a question, make a comment, etc…

Communicating: Emoticons Selecting an Emoticon to Express Feelings - Close Menu - Away - Approve - Disapprove - Surprised - Confused - Applause - Laughing - Speaker speed up - Speaker slow down

Communicating: Text Chat This is the area where you can text questions to the presenter or another participant 3 chat features: Public Chat Private Chat Pause/ Play Chat

Communicating: Talk Key When using the talk button, identify yourself first. Continue to hold down the talk button for 2 seconds after you finish speaking. To Speak: Click and hold the TALK button or Press and hold CTRL key on keyboard
