3 PLURAL VS. SINGULAR GUSTA N! GUSTA! Me gusta el cine. I like the movies. Me gustan los restaurante. I like restaurantes.

4 SENTENCE STRUCTURE In SPANISH… The word order is actually BACKWORDS! 1.The indirect object (Me, te, le, etc.) 2.The verb (gusta, gustan) 3.The subject of the verb (baloncesto, la piscina, etc.) (make it negative by adding “no” at the beginning) Example: No me gusta los videojuegos.

5 INDIRECT PRONOUNS! ME-(I)NOS- (WE) TE-(YOU)OS- (YOU ALL) LE-(HE, SHE, IT) LES- (THEY) WHO IS DOING THE LIKING??

6 For clarification, the sentence begins with a prepositional phrase that helps determine who the indirect pronoun refers to. CLARIFICATION: EXAMPLES: A ella le gusta el tenis. She likes tennis. A Juan le gusta el tenis. John likes tennis. “”
