Kinesthetic Auditory Tactile Kinetic The use of kinesthetic imagery—“the bleeding sinews…snapped, muscle and bone split and broke”— helps to describe the intense pain that Grendel is suffering.

Kinesthetic Auditory Tactile Kinetic The auditory imagery (“the sinews snapped”, “muscle and bone split”) shows Beowulf’s tremendous strength because only someone so strong could snap a monster’s bones like that and make it be heard during the battle.
