What is LINEKA? In 1993 Lithuanian National Freight Forwarders Association LINEKA was founded. From 1994 Lineka is the member of International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations FIATA At present, the Association unites over 40 companies and organisations engaged in freight forwarding and logistic business or closely related with this business; Transport share in the gross domestic product of Lithuania is growing every year; in 2008-2011 it increased from 9% up to 12%, while the contribution of LINEKA Association accounts for approximately 60% of the gross product earned in transport sector. LINEKA is negotiating and handling many positions on various issues from transport and logistic business life. We support shuttle trains project, one-stop electronic customs services. We are constructive partners of governmental authorities and research institutions. LINEKA – Key facts

What is LINEKA? LINEKA – Goals: To represent the interests of its members in governmental, social and international organisations; To develop relations with international freight forwarding and logistic organisations; To improve the quality of Lithuanian freight forwarding and logistic services; To organise professional-qualification training for freight forwarders.

What is LINEKA? Educational, training and qualification improvement block Vice-President Audronė Kumelienė is in charge of this block. Membership, collaboration and development block. Vice-President Arijus Ramonas is in charge of this block. Block of legal regulation, finances and insurance protection of freight forwarders and logistic service providers. What is LINEKA? LINEKA has made extremely active contribution to the Viking popularisation. Viking – the high-speed container train travelling from the Ukraine (Odessa/Ilyitchovsk) to Lithuania (Klaipeda seaport) and back, and connecting the Baltic and Black Seas regions, has been in operation since February 2003. LINEKA – Activities: Participation in strategic transport and logistic projects: LINEKA is an active participant and supporter of the EWTC project. The aim of the EWTC - is through connecting Europe with rapidly growing Asian markets and Black Sea basin countries to expand efficient transport corridor intended at servicing growing cargo flows. This Project would also improve external and internal accessibility of the Baltic Sea region.
