1 Human Skeleton Model Assembly

2 1. Label all the bones. Cut out and glue fronts and backs of hands, feet, pelvis, and shoulder blades together.

3 2. Glue front and back of ribcage together Now it’s two-sided!

4 Glue the ribcage at notches to curve it You could also do this part after you attach the spine. That’s what I did in these pictures.

5 3. Cut out and assemble the outer spine. Cut to fold line at arrows

6 4. Put two halves of outer spine together

7 Cut out inner spine and fold

8 Attach inner spine to rib cage

9 5. Glue the two halves of the sternum together.

10 6. Put glue on the tabs of the shoulder blade and end of clavicle.

11 Attach shoulder blades (scapula) to the rear of the rib cage and the small tabs at the ends of the clavicles to the knobby section above the sternum.

12 Assemble the upper right leg (femur) and joint (trochanter).

13 Assemble upper left leg (femur) and joint (trochanter).

14 7. Assemble the lower right leg (tibia and fibula) and kneecap (patella).

15 Assemble the lower right leg (tibia and fibula) and kneecap (patella).

16 Assemble the lower left leg (tibia and fibula) and kneecap (patella).

17 8. Assemble the right and left feet and ankles. Fold the hands.

18 9. Punch pinholes through dots at end of legs and on pelvis.

19 Using a needle and heavy thread, attach the right and left upper legs (femur) to the lower legs (tibia and fibula).

20 Attach the lower legs to the ankles.

21 10. Use needle and heavy thread to attach the right and left legs to the pelvis.

22 11. Shape the pelvis and glue it to the tabs at the bottom of the inner spine.

23 12. Assemble the upper right arm (humerus) and upper left arm.

24 13. Assemble the lower right (radius and ulna) and lower left arms. Use needle and heavy thread to attach them to upper arms.

25 14. Use needle and heavy thread to attach hands to arms.

26 15. Use needle and heavy thread to attach arms to the underside of the collarbones (clavicles).

27 16. Assemble the skull in the order shown below.

28 Glue sections A and B together.

29 Glue sections C and D together.

30 Glue sections E and F together.

31 Glue section G at front of skull.

32 Glue Section H

33 Glue sections I and J.

34 17. Use needle and heavy thread to attach the jaw to the skull.

35 18. Put glue on the tabs at the top of the spine assembly and insert the spine into the skull until it touches the top.

36 19. Glue pieces of stand to thin cardboard, then cut out the pieces.

37 Fold triangular stand bottom along these lines:

38 Fold corner tabs in, then glue.

39 Fold the tall stand piece along these lines:

40 Glue the top of the stand to the triangular base.

41 Hang your skeleton on its base.
