3.  Food is necessary for nutrition that our bodies need and our bodily functions to work  Clothing is necessary to cover our bodies, protect and shield  Shelter is necessary to protect us from the elements

4.  Agriculture industry-all activities to get F C and S to people to use  A global industry  Agribusiness-all non-farm work in the ag industry  2 main areas of agribusiness are:  1. supplies and services-things needed so a farm can function  2. marketing and processing-where products are made into forms that people want

5.  Agriculture-growing crops and raising animals to meet the needs of humans  Farming-using land and other recourses to grow crops and raise animals  Some animals produce products others become food  Farm-a place where farming occurs  Suburban farming-using small areas of land in residential and business areas to produce crops and animals  Aquaculture-farming in water-plants and animals  Forestry-the production and use of trees

6. Agriculture goes beyond food and clothing.. Includes other areas that make our lives better *Ornamental horticulture-producing plants for their beauty *Natural resources- all things found in nature. Ex: living organisms, minerals, soil, water and air *Companion and small animals-also called pets, improve the lives of their owners -owners must feed, provide a good environment and good health
