Dubai Foundation For Women And Children The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) is the first licensed non-profit shelter in the UAE for women and children victims of domestic violence, child abuse, and human trafficking. It was established in July 2007 to offer victims immediate protection and support services in accordance with international human rights obligations. 6. Provide shelter service and social and psychological care for women and children exposed to violence. Family empowerment and strengthening ties. Promote the collective work among local parties, organizations and unions to secure a smooth and effective service system. Develop research on relevant social issues that will inform program and policy development. Promoting community awareness to reduce all forms of abuse against women and children through educational outreach. 8. In accordance with our mandate, DFWAC offers services to women and children victims of violence who are defined by Law 15/2007, which established the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children. Service provision is defined by the law. Admission Criteria: Women and children experiencing any type of abuse or violence. Not in immediate danger of harming yourselves or others and/or in need for a psychiatric hospitalization. Not infected by a contagious disease. Not male of 12 years or over.
