Early Years Jackie Robinson was born in January 13, 1919. Jackie Robinson was a slave in his childhood. Jackie Robinson grew up in Georgia.

Family Life He lived with his mom. He also lived with Dad. Also he lived with his brother and sisters

Important Contributions Jackie Robinson was the first African American to play baseball. Jackie was treated very meanly by people who did not want him to play baseball just because of his skin color. Jackie was brave and never gave up. He didn’t quit. Because of Jackie Robinson, he led the way for many other people of all skin colors to play baseball. Jackie Robinson hit three homeruns in one World Series game. He is known as one of the best baseball players to ever play the game.

Other Interesting Facts We Learned People said mean things about him. He was on the Brooklyn dodgers. He joined the army. Jackie Robinson has a book about him and a movie about him.
