3 Product Definition IG-Monitor is a digital video surveillance system that allows the digitalization, recording and distribution of large amount of video sources, with different image qualities. Image distribution, live or recorded, is accomplished through networks that supports TCP/IP protocol. Images are stored locally in the encoder/recorder server to which the cameras are connected.

4 Elements of IG-Monitor System (I)
IG-Monitor System is integrated by two main elements: Encoder/recorder server Remote video surveillance station

5 Elements of IG-Monitor System (II)
ENCODER/RECORDER SERVER: Able to capture up to 32 video cameras. External rack mountable modules for video signal amplification. Supports PAL or NTSC signals. Number of recording hours completely scalable. Industrial rack mountable chassis with forced ventilation, that supports more than 60º Celsius, specially designed for hostile environments. Includes MS Windows 2000 Professional Operating System.

6 Massive storage chassis:

7 Elements of IG-Monitor System (IV)
REMOTE VIDEO SURVEILLANCE STATION: Minimum hardware requirements: Pentium II 266 Mhz. 64 Mbytes RAM. 1 Gbytes HDD. Software requirements: Microsoft Windows 2000. Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 4.0. Microsoft Windows 95. Microsoft Windows 98. Microsoft Windows Me

8 Technical features (I)
Scalability: Up to 32 video channels per encoder/recorder server. An unlimited number of encoder/recorder servers and remote video surveillance stations can be connected to the network. Cameras control: Independent camera properties control. Independent motion detection management with sensitivity and area control. Independent priority control and frame rate selection. Optionally: camera pan, tilt, zoom, focus and external alarm connection.

9 Technical features (II)
Video data compression and storage: Recording may be triggered by: - Motion detection - External alarm - Schedule task - Manually Real time multi-stream MPEG-1 hardware encoding with automatic frame rate adjustment based on channel priority. Compressed data rate and quality control independent for each channel. Storage data rate from 12.5 to 284 Mb/hour per each camera connected to an encoder/recorder server. Supports any digital storage media such as IDE or SCSI HDD, DAT tape, DVD-RAM, etc.

10 Technical features (III)
Video distribution: Uses TCP/IP protocol for video distribution to an unlimited number of remote video surveillance seats. Entirely customizable: Since InfoGLOBAL has the technology and development tools of the IG-Monitor system, it can be customized according to customer needs and preferences.

11 Encoder performances Designed to digitize and compress multi-channel video into MPEG-1 digital video format. Encoder/recorder server incorporates up to 4 MPEG-1 encoder/multiplexor boards. Each board allows up to eight analog video multiplexed NTSC or PAL input channels. The encoder can handle a maximum of 30 frames per second video throughput for NTSC video format or 25 fps for PAL format. The chart below shows a relation of frames rate per each connected camera: Allows independent control of properties such as video quality, priority, brightness and contrast for each camera.

12 Video surveillance applications (I)
Simultaneous visualization and recording of all active or selected channels. Simultaneous visualization of 1, 4, 9 or 16 video viewing panes. Allows camera rounds.. Each video pane allows the activation/deactivation of labels such as camera name, date and time. Viewing pane could be zoomed up to twice its resolution. Directly exports any video channel (live or recorded) to a standard MPEG-1 file. Allows direct exportation from any source to static images with standard formats. Optionally: visualize selected video channels in a standard TV monitor. Works under any Windows operating system. Application available in english and spanish.

13 Video surveillance applications (II)

14 System functionalities
An unlimited number of encoder/recorder servers and remote video surveillance IG-Monitor stations can be connected simultaneously to the system. Camera’s management, visualization and playback can be done in a centralized way, with total control of its functionalities. Video distribution is performed with IP unicast or multicast technology. Takes advantage of existing network infrastructure, without the need of a dedicated network for its operation, offering an immediate spread of video surveillance stations at any network location.
