As a teacher, do you find yourself using the same format over and over? Are you looking for something new? Try a WebQuest.

What is a WebQuest? Think of it as an activity students can do on the internet. The teacher sets up the lesson right on the computer and all the resources and templates are embedded in the presentation.

What to Know? WebQuest usually lasts 1-3 periods.
Students generally work in groups. This is a good way of implementing cooperative learning. Resources should be embedded into the project. For example, if students are exploring Reader Awards, the resource for finding this information could be embedded in the Quest, like this one.

What Could a WebQuest Be?
A searchable database A microworld that allows navigations by students Interactive stories A type of debate Could be a historical figure that students question and then provide answers from what they know. A template allows the students to present the information.
