© 2011 School Improvement Network 2008 St. John Learning Framework Assessment Executive Summary The Learning Framework produced results for St. Johns that significantly exceeded those experienced by the other schools in the state collectively: St. John experienced significantly greater gains in 2008 vs. 2007 than did Louisiana as a State collectively. St. John closed the achievement gap in every category for which they began at a disadvantage.

Dr. Steven H. Shaha 2008 St. John Learning Framework Assessment Dr. Steven H. Shaha earned his doctorate in research methods and applied statistics (PhD, UCLA), and holds master’s degrees in education (University of Arizona) and cognition (Arizona State University). He has taught and lectured at a host of major universities, including Harvard where he is currently an adjunct lecturer, University of Utah, UCLA, Princeton University, University of Michigan, Columbia University, New York University, California State University, and others. Dr. Shaha has taught in many subject areas, including research methods with quantitative and qualitative analyses, both applied and mathematical statistics and analytics, continuous improvement, data-driven organizational redesign, strategic planning, and dissemination and publishing. Dr. Shaha has presented over 150 professional papers, has over 100 peer- reviewed publications in print, over 35 technical notes, and two books.
