Mission, continued… Victim Sensitivity Victim Sensitivity The WVDOC strives to remember the Victim in each of our activities; treating them as customers to whom we provide a valuable service and assurance of quality.

8 Accreditation Under the leadership of Commissioner Rubenstein, the WVDOC has stressed consistency and “raising the bar” in regard to operational and administrative performance across all disciplines within the agency. To that end, the WVDOC has committed to an agency-wide initiative using systematic internal and external accreditation audits. These processes include: American Correctional Association Accreditation Correctional Education Association Accreditation National Commission on Correctional Health Care Accreditation National Institute of Corrections Security Audit
