Eligibilty Classroom Teacher Instructional Support Teacher Assistant **Principals and Assistant Principals are not eligible.** Media Specialist Intervention Coordinator Counselor School Psychologist Social worker 6

Categories Up to $1,000.00 for individual applicant Impact a single classroom and single group of students May address a single area of curriculum or could be interdisciplinary implications Up to $3,0000.00 for professional learning teams Impacts multiple classrooms and many students (grade level, content area, etc) May impact school culture May include professional development for the team 7 Grant Awards

Proposal Development General Directions Proposal Logistics –2-3 pages: grants that exceed page length WILL NOT BE considered. –MS Word 1997-2003 –Calibri 11 pt. Draft in MS Word –Allows for word count, spell check and formatting NO reference to you, school, or identifying information in the proposal. 8

Proposal Development Section Headers: Give focus to that portion of the proposal Include total points, with breakdown provided beside each element Give word requirements Allow for planning of the overall grant to meet 2-3 pages requirement. 9

Project Description: 20 pts – ½ page –Purpose, Vision 2020, MethodologyVision 2020 Specific Area of Focus for Grant: 30 pts - ¾ page –Population, Timeline, Strategies (Research), 4 C’s4 C’s Student Achievement & Evaluation: 30 pts – ¾ page –SMART Goals, Data, Data CollectionSMART Answer all elements within the section for the opportunity for maximum points. 10 Proposal Development

Follow instructions for the grant application EXACTLY! Do not include your name or your school's name or any other identifying information in the proposal: e.g., names of teachers, maps, mascots, clubs Have a non-educator read your grant.
