1. She was born in Zaragoza, on 29 December, 1975. Her paraplegia has not prevented her from developing a brillant career. When she was 19 years old, she lost mobility from her waist downwards.

2.  She started winning medals in 1998,at the Wolrd Championships in New Zeland. She won a bronze one in 50 meters freestyle.  Then, in the European Championships, she won a bronze medal in 50 and 100 in freestyle and butterfly, and a silver one in 200 freestyle.

3. We think she has a lot of merit for winning medals with paraplegia and is an idol for many people because she has overcome many obstacles to get where she is now
