3 + Getting Started!!! Where to Start????? Getting Started Checklist is very helpful—Project MORE Manual— pages 7 & 8 Adventures We Experienced in “Getting Started” “Lots” of copying and assembling—approximately 50 Hours per building (Levels C-T) Organizing Tutors and Collaborating with Miami University regarding scheduling Organization of Materials 5 books at each level with “packet” information in basket Approximately 675 sandwich size baggies Approximately 135 gallon size baggies Storage for baskets and materials Pocket folder for each child, colored pencils, game boards, timers, and fluency instruction sheets Available notepads and sticky post-it notes for communication from tutors

10 + Mentors………………… Partnering & Recruiting Developed A Partnership with Miami University Students represent America Reads, Adopt-A- School and/or Education Classes Wonderful “pool” of tutors Disadvantages Limits the number of tutoring sessions due to calendar differences Lose two weeks in spring because of different breaks Next year planning to partner with community members, senior citizens within the community and additional organizations at Miami University

Project MORE Conference Folder Tutor Contact Sheet Spreadsheet that includes tutor’s name, telephone contact number and email address and housed Contact Assignment Sheet Sheet includes the tutor and teacher names, contact telephone numbers, days of tutoring, times of tutoring and room number to meet their tutee Forms are available on the Ohio Project MORE website

14 + Mentor Communication…………… “Online” Google Calendar Online calendar that includes pertinent scheduling information for tutors Google calendar houses all three elementary school activities & potential tutoring conflicts listed

Individual Student Information Sheet Weekly Data Recorded for each Individual Student Housed in a Three-Ring Notebook Book Name, Level of Book and Additional Comments Record of cold, warm and hot reads Comprehension Check AIMSweb Weekly Progress Monitoring Results Number of Tutoring Sessions Completed

16 + Data Sharing……………..... Multiple Student Data Information Sheet Project MORE Conference Folder via First Class Updated weekly with new data Includes: cold, warm and hot reads, comprehension checks, DIBELS Benchmarks, AIMSWEB Progress Monitoring and Total Number of Tutoring Sessions

17 + Evaluation & Feedback…… Survey Monkey --http://www.surveymonkey.com FREE online service that surveys can be created The service provides a link that the person places in a browser then clicks It collects and analyzes the data for you

18 + Evaluation & Feedback…………….. Survey Monkey Results from Tutors & Teachers Evaluation at the End of Each Semester Anonymous input was requested from both teachers who had students participating in Project MORE & the tutors who volunteered their time to provide one-on-one sessions with the students Survey can include 10 questions and still be FREE Valuable feedback and input
