Clinical Laboratory Operations Initiatives Immunopathology Laboratory has nearly completed clinical laboratory validation of a new Graft-versus-Host Disease predication panel (elafin, IL-2Rα, TNFR1). This panel was developed by Drs. Sophie Paczesny, James Ferrara, and colleagues from the Universities of Michigan and Washington. Effective June 7, 2010, the Michigan Medical Genetics Laboratory will offer inhouse cystic fibrosis diagnostic mutation testing (60 mutations). This testing will complement prenatal CF mutation screening currently offered by the Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory.

Clinical Laboratory Service Enhancements The Clinical Laboratories have developed a Pending “Overdue” Test Result monitoring system that encompasses all workcenters. This system will improve the robustness of laboratory testing.
