Educator Prep Performance Reports 2014 Reports Issued On Time –Thanks to Metrics Reporting System Users! Chancellor has approved a Performance Metrics Committee Recommendation for 2015 –Report edTPA as a “yes” or “no” information item in Field and Clinical Experiences section –EPPs are encouraged to share information about edTPA implementation, data analysis, program improvements with other Excellence and Innovation narrative.

USDoE Draft Regulations, Eff. 2018 Disaggregated Data, Assurances of Accreditation or Quality of Program Characteristics, Weight, and Rewards or Consequences Quality Clinical Preparation Content and Pedagogical Knowledge Rigorous Teacher Candidate Entry and Exit Qualifications Reporting the Performance of All Teacher Preparation Programs States can establish “N” requirements for reporting and can aggregate over multiple years or multiple programs within a provider to reach that “N”.

SARA:State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement Agreement among member states establishing national standards for distance education programs –Eases distance education for students in member states –Voluntary for institutions in SARA states –Does not provide educator license reciprocity. Students will obtain licenses in the home state of the institution of higher education (IHE).

SARA in Ohio Ohio became SARA’s 20 th member on March 2 OBR will serve as the portal agency for the SARA agreement in Ohio. –IHEs submit application and state fees to OBR for review and approval. Anticipated April 1 –If approved, IHEs submit national fees to SARA; SARA subsequently accepts IHE as member school.

College Credit Plus (CCP) Faculty credentials required (not new) –Master’s degree inclusive of 18 graduate hours in content area –Master’s degree and an additional 18 graduate hours in content area Need for content master’s programs for existing high school teachers
