3 Group Discussion O Answer one set of questions for each chapter (7, 8, 9). Start with the literal question, move into what it means, and then discuss the question that connects to a deeper purpose. Each group should then have 3 passages “analyzed” verbally by the end. O Questions

4 Turn to page 221 in your SpringBoard O Look at the Sample “conclusion” (it’s not a conclusion to an essay, it’s a conclusion that someone can come to when analyzing). O Mark it with feedback that I would give it (what needs fixed, or what could be stronger). O As a group, discuss your feedback and recommendations. O Then, as a group, choose one of the 3 passages to verbally “write” a conclusion for. O Claim of deeper meaning/connection to a theme. Evidence to support and how it supports the claim. O Be prepared to share.
