Administrative A lot of you have expired insurance and registration – at sticker issue, we need updated/valid “copies” Licenses! We have to have a copy of your license dated August 12 th (Today) or earlier – Per the contract, August 13 th (first day of sticker issue – tomorrow - is the deadline) If we do not have your application and you claimed you turned it in (stay after this briefing and see me)

Purpose - “Why do we have to come to this class if we went last year?” I need one volunteer Bottomline: “We continue to have students violate the rules, as stated in the application they signed, and claim that no one told them.”

Transfers, Temporaries and “I wrecked my car” We will issue you a new sticker if you get a new car – do not move the old sticker Need a copy of page one of the application w/ new car information in family’s name $10 replacement fee for new sticker (Bring the old one in!) Temporary Passes – See front office in the morning, place in your windshield – They will verify your name Cannot get a temporary for a friend’s car – “Why its my spot?” – Unfortunately this was abused Get that temporary pass in your window to avoid a ticket

Conduct in the Parking Lot (1 of 2) Slow down – We don’t want anyone hurt Alan Bostwick Story No sports, football/frisbee/baseball – Respect other’s cars You are responsible for the conduct of your passengers! – Yes you! Don’t run back and forth across the entrance road Do not drop-off and pick up in the entrance road – park it Please keep the parking lot clean

Conduct in the Parking Lot (2 of 2) Friends cannot come down to the lot in the mornings to meet you Don’t jump on cars or horseplay Get in before the gate is locked (open 10 minutes before/after the bell) Front office phone number 980-344-0514 Do not move the rocks next to the gate (Will lose privileges) Do not drive over the grass medians (ticket & lose spot) Go slow, be courteous – Do not speed or drive recklessly

Tardies School policy six tardies in one semester = loss of parking You are responsible for tracking your own tardies! (“No one warned me at #5 is not a valid excuse) You will sign this policy in homeroom at the beginning of the year – but your attendance at this briefing today is acknowledgement that you are aware and will abide by the policy

Student Code of Conduct aka “The Catch All” (1 of 2) Rule #1 Driving is a Privilege Once your car is on school premises – it is subject to search just like a locker, book bag, anything else Why? – safety of the student body Do not bring drugs, alcohol, fire-arms, weapons or anything of any kind that is prohibited at school – again, your car is subject to be searched Bomb threat, etc, follow the guidance of the teachers/administration – we have to get accountability – you cannot leave in your car on your own

Sticker Issue Arrive at your designated time Seniors with a last name falling between A to D will report on August 13, 2013 from 8 AM to 11 AM Seniors with a last name falling between E to L will report on August 13, 2013 from 12 PM to 3 PM Seniors with a last name falling between M to R will report on August 14, 2013 from 8 AM to 11 PM Seniors with a last name falling between S to Z will report on August 14, 2013 from 12 PM to 3 PM Juniors will report on August 15, 2013 from 8 AM to 12 PM Make Up Sticker Issue: Afterschool Thursday August 29th 2:30-4pm
