2 Basis for Revision to Odd-Even Parking Ordinance Excessive number of cars parked on street impediment to snow removal In some instances, snow plows were not able to travel down streets due to parked cars Contributes to hazardous driving conditions Most cars parked on street, could be parked off street if owners were required to do so Impacts emergency vehicles and ability to access residential homes Longer snow removal work shifts due to street congestion

3 New Ordinance Odd-Even parking will go into effect upon the accumulation of two inches of snow and will remain in effect until snow removal complete. The switch over time is being changed to 6:00 a.m. Violators ticketed as soon as possible – Cost $50 In additions to tickets, 24 hour tow notices will be issued to all illegally parked vehicles. Vehicles which have not been moved will be towed 24 hours after placement of sticker. Additional officers will be assigned to issue parking citations, tow notices, and to tow vehicles

4 High Traffic Streets Where Parking is Currently Prohibited at all times or after a 2 inch snowfall Alexander Circle Arlington Drive between: Spangler Drive and Dalhart Avenue Glen Avenue and Kingston Drive Belmont Drive between: Hamrick Ave. and Murphy Romeo Road and Newland Halstead Court and Kingston Rt. 53 and Anderson Drive Crossroads Parkway Dalhart Drive between: Belmont Drive and Normantown Road Eaton Avenue between: Murphy Drive and Hayes Avenue Fairfax Avenue between: Murphy Drive and Macon Avenue Grand Boulevard Glen Avenue between: Kingston Drive and Arlington Drive Hayes Avenue between: Troxel Avenue and Eaton Avenue Honeytree Drive between: Abbeywood Drive and Naperville Road Hudson Avenue between: Rogers Road and Veterans Parkway Kingston Drive between: Arlington Drive and Glen Avenue Macon Avenue between: Palmer Avenue and Avalon Avenue Murphy Drive between: Ashton Avenue and Belmont Drive Eaton Avenue and Troxel Avenue Normantown Road Pinnacle Drive Romeo Road between: Weber Road and Belmont Drive Macon Avenue and High Road Taylor Road Troxel Avenue Weslake Parkway Wespark Parkway Windham Parkway Zinnia Drive between: Gladiolus Circle and Daffodil Drive

6 Honeytree Townhomes Parking currently prohibited on one side of following streets: Beechwood Road Birchwood Drive Cedarbend Drive Elmwood Road Honeybear Lane Robbin Drive Additional Prohibited Parking on One Side of street: Cranbrook Court Devon Lane Windsor Lane Harris Lane Dunbridge Lane

7 Additional Parking Regulations – Dead End Streets New ordinance would prohibit parking within thirty (30) feet of the end of a dead end street after a 2-inch snowfall Majority of dead end streets are located within Honeytree Townhomes

8 Wesglen Primary Streets and Landscape Islands No parking along center islands in the Wesglen subdivision No Parking on Wesglen Parkway, Jonquil Drive, and Honeysuckle Drive

9 Enforcement Warning citations will be issued during first two inch snow fall for first year of program Beginning with second two inch snow fall, parking citations will be issued to all vehicles parked on street in violation of the odd-even parking ordinance Tow stickers issued to all illegally parked snowed in vehicles, after 2-inch snowfall Vehicles not moved 24 hours after sticker applied will be towed
