1 Survey of the Westminster Confession of Faith Class #6: Chapters 6-9: The Four-fold Nature of Man

2 The Doctrine of Man – the Imago Dei Man is made uniquely by God intimately and personally, and holds a unique position in creation: a relationship or covenant with God. And the man and woman share the glory of their unique creation: there is equality before God and there are also clear roles and relationships with one another.

4 Westminster Shorter Catechism #18 Wherein consists the sinfulness of that estate whereinto man fell? A.: The sinfulness of that estate whereinto man fell, consists in the guilt of Adam’s first sin, the want of original righteousness, and the corruption of his whole nature, which is commonly called original sin, together with all actual transgressions which proceed from it.

5 Adam is not able not to sin.  to sin die (not a "free will" any longer but instead, an expensive "won't"!)

6 Westminster Shorter Catechism #16 Did all mankind fall in Adam’s first transgression? A. The covenant being made with Adam, not only for himself, but for his posterity; all mankind, descending from him by ordinary generation, sinned in him, and fell with him, in his first transgression.
