3. N EW E XODUS AND J ESUS T IME  During the period when Fadus was ruing over Judea, a certain imposter named Theudas persuaded the majority of the masses to take up their possessions and to follow him to the Jordan River. He stated that he was a prophet and that at his command the river would be parted and to provide them an easy passage. (Josephus, Antiquities 20:97-98)

4. (S T. A UGUSTINE )  We are with Him in heaven with hope, and He is with us on earth with love.

5. 1. T HE WAY INTO THE H OLIEST OF ALL  the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the Way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing. Heb 9:8

6. 2.H OW CAN WE KNOW THE WAY ?  5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jn 14:5

7. 3. T HE WAY O F G OD  Then they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, we know that You say and teach rightly, and You do not show personal favouritism, but teach the Way of God in truth. Luke 20:21

8. 4. I AM THE W AY  Jesus said to him, “ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Jn 14:6

9. 5. L IVING W AY  Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living Way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh. Heb 10:19,20

10. 6. H E WENT AND HE IS COMING BACK AGAIN  Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “ Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” Acts 1:9-11

11. 7. Y OU HAVE MADE KNOWN TO ME THE WAYS OF LIFE  You have made known to me the ways of life ;  You will make me full of joy in Your presence Acts 2:28, Ps 16:11

12. 8. I PERSECUTED THIS WAY  I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women. Acts 22:4

13. 9. T HE WAY, THEY CALL A SECT..!!  But this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets. Acts 24:14
