I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
A. In Heaven, Everything Will Be NEW
Revelation 21:1 (NKJV) Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.
Isaiah 65:17 (NKJV) “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind.
B. In Heaven, We will Be Perfectly Satisfied

Word “new” means brand new; different from anything we have now experienced So fantastic that it will blow our minds
“passeed away” means to perish, to come to an end Peter 3:7-13 gives insight into the passing away
75 % of the world is now sea You’ve got to have water in our world system for climate, oxygen, water and food It is the wor’ds heating and cooling system Somehow this new earth life will sustain itself without any sea.

12. The Eternal State What makes the Lake of Fire so terrible . . .
What makes Heaven such a magnificent place . . .
Revelation 21:3-4 (NKJV) And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Psalm 16:11 (NKJV) You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
What makes the Lake of Fire so terrible is the absense of God.
What makes Heaven such a magnificent place is that we will be in the very presence of God Himself.
Revelation 21:3-4 (NKJV) And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
John tells us that God will actually dwell with us and live with us in Heaven. “dwell” literally means “to tabernacle” or “headquarter.” In the New Heaven and Earth, God will move His headquarters to be among His people. There will be a closeness between God and man that has not been possible since the Garden of Eden.
“wipe away every tear” includes all the bad memories and the pain from the past Tears over our loved ones or friends who did are not in heaven Soldiers remembering the ravages of war no more Persecution Etc. . . God will help us never remember that pain again.
In heaven, there will be no sin. Therefore, the consequences of sin will be gone as well.
Psalm 16:11 (NKJV) You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Imagine how happy, full of love and joy they will be in heaven. Think of a time when you were incredibly happy of full of joy.

II. In Heaven, God Will Create A City Called New Jerusalem, An Awesome Display Of His Creativity And Love For Us
Revelation 21:2 (NKJV) Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Revelation 21:10 (NKJV) And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
The New Jerusalem will be an Incredible City, Full Of Beauty (described by John in Revelation 21:10-27)
Revelation 21:2 (NKJV) Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Revelation 21:10 (NKJV) And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
The name Jerusalem means “founded by God.”

And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal. Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.

A furlong or stadia measured about 607 feet, making this a distance of 1,380 miles. This would give the city a total base area of 1,904,400 square miles. This is not counting its height which reaches 1,380 miles – far above the atmosphere into space.
John also notes that the walls of the NJ are 144 cubits thick, or about 216 feet.

Revelation 21:10-11 (NKJV) And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.
Revelation 21:22-23 (NKJV) But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.

3. The Bible Gives Amazing Descriptions of the New Jerusalem
Revelation 21:12 (NKJV) Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
Revelation 21:21 (NKJV) The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

Revelation 21:14 (NKJV) Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
Revelation 21:19-20 (NKJV) The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.
Revelation 21:18 (NKJV) The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.
Revelation 21:21b (NKJV) And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass
