2 Those close to Grace began to fear that she would soon need a wig because of the number of locks from her hair that she sent out to her many fans and admirers. 4 Grace died on October 20 th 1842 from tuberculosis, a disease of the lungs. She was buried on 24 th October in the churchyard at Banburgh where a canopied memorial was erected nearby.
