2  Nevada became a state (admitted to the Union) October 31, 1864, so Nevada Day is officially October 31st of each year.  Celebrated this year on October 28 th (last Friday of October)  Nevada Day Parade, on the 27 th.  Nevadan's have the distinction of holding the largest formal statehood celebration in the nation!
