DBQ Essay – Intro: Reword of Historical Background – Have a Hook (something interesting about the time period or topic) – Include who, what, when, where. – Thesis: The very last sentence(s) of introduction. – Body – Do a quick outline on how you want to set up the essay(decide on how many paragraphs make sense) – Bullet point all the facts you know about that topic for your paragraph – Match up documents that PROVE the point by paragraph 3

– Topic sentences for body paragraph should match the thesis (the question you are answering) – LOTS of facts, Do Now Words, vocabulary with definitions, people, etc – Explain and analyze how your facts answer the question 4
