2. A Meeting of the Minds Get together with the other classmates that were assigned as the same bureaucrat as you. Compare notes and findings. – Discuss your discretionary authority – Compare the laws you chose and explain them to each other if they vary. – Compare your court cases and explain them if they vary. Complete part I of the project sheet together. Re-number everyone 1-4 (if fewer than 4 I will renumber you).

3. Bureaucratic Roundtable Go to your new group. Take your sheet with you. Share with the group the following aspects of your “career:” – Who you work for – The discretionary authority the agency or bureau has – What laws you help enforce Complete part II of the sheet. Turn in sheet with your project, but not stapled!

4. Assignment for Tuesday, 3/31 Read pp. 438-446. Take notes by headings. Be sure to read the inset about Marbury v. Madison on p. 443. Complete the activism/constructionism scenarios and the exercises on judicial independence.
