3
Operational and Process Changes 2008 Purchased updated, more accurate laboratory equipment. Utilized laboratory data to make changes in our operational and process controls. Determined which equipment was inefficient or needed for daily operations.
4
Reduced Chemical and Odor Control Equipment Run Times 2009 Process changes from previous year 2008 reduced odors. Eliminated need to operate equipment related to odor control. Electrical reduction of 21% from previous year.
5
New Diffusers in Aeration Basins 2010 Better distribution of air. Reduction of blowers on line. Improved operational control. Electrical reduction of 20% from previous year.
6
New Positive Displacement Blower Operations 2012 Automated VFD control. Reduced energy consumption. Electrical reduction of 6% from previous year.
7
Improved Solids Handling 2011 Aeration basin upgrades improved operations. Reduction in bio solids to be processed and hauled. Reduced equipment runtimes. Electrical reduction of 11% from previous year.
8
Electrical Reduction Goal for 2013 Install and operate new Sludge Thickening Processor. Streamline the bio solids processing after the new Sludge Thickening Processor is installed (equipment run time). Estimated reduction in electricity to be 32% from previous year.
