4 4 Original justification: To defray costs associated with provision of specialized automated services, a wireless network, 24-hour computer access, and distance learning facilities and support. Revised justification: To defray costs associated with managing, maintaining, upgrading, and general operations of the university's technology infrastructure, electronic resources, and online services. Defray costs for providing 24/5 library hours to respond to expressed student demand. To provide for growth in library staffing and associated costs. Revised justification: To provide necessary goods and services to cover the operational costs associated with providing comprehensive library services. The fee revenue covers salary, benefits and related personnel costs as well as necessary library materials, periodicals, books, supplies, equipment and facility related costs as necessary to meet the needs of the university and as allowed by the amount of fee revenue generated. Unreserved fund balances at year end may be used to cover library renovations.
