CHEA Recognition The scrutiny and certification of the quality of regional, faith-based, private career and programmatic accrediting organizations. CHEA is the only nongovernmental higher education organization that undertakes this scrutiny. THE NATIONAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON INSTITUTIONAL QUALITY AND INTEGRITY (NACIQI) ADVISES THE SECRETARY OF EDUCATION ON MATTERS RELATED TO ACCREDITATION AND TO THE ELIGIBILITY AND CERTIFICATION PROCESS FOR INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION PURSUANT TO THE HIGHER EDUCATION ACT (HEA).
