645 The God of Abraham praise, who reigns enthroned above; Ancient of everlasting days, and God of Love; Jehovah, great I AM! by earth and Heav’n confessed; I bow and bless the sacred Name forever blessed.
12
The God of Abraham praise, at Whose supreme command From earth I rise—and seek the joys at His right hand; We all on earth forsake, its wisdom, fame, and power; And Him my only Portion make, our Shield and Tower.
13
The God of Abraham praise, whose all sufficient grace Shall guide us all our happy days, In all our ways: He is our faithful friend, He is our gracious God And He will save us to the end, through Jesus’ blood.
14
He by Himself has sworn; We on His oath depend, We shall, on eagle wings upborne, to Heav’n ascend. We shall behold His face; We shall His power adore, And sing the wonders of His grace for evermore.
15
The whole triumphant host give thanks to God on high; Hail, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, they ever cry. Hail, Abraham’s God, and ours! We join the heavenly lays And celebrate with all our powers, His endless praise.

22 - All the way my Saviour led me What have I to ask beside? Can I doubt His tender mercy, Who through life has been my Guide? Heavenly peace, divinest comfort, Here by faith in Him to dwell! For I know, whate’er befall me, Jesus doeth all things well; For I know, whate’er befall me, Jesus doeth all things well.
18
All the way my Savior leads me, Cheers each winding path I tread, Gives me grace for every trial, Feeds me with the living Bread. Though my weary steps may falter And my soul athirst may be, Gushing from the Rock before me, Lo! A spring of joy I see; Gushing from the Rock before me, Lo! A spring of joy I see.
19
All the way my Saviour led me Oh, the fullness of His love! Perfect rest to me is promised In my Father’s house above. When my spirit, clothed immortal, Wings its flight to realms of day This my song through endless ages: Jesus led me all the way; This my song through endless ages: Jesus led me all the way.

The Father Who Pities The Wonders of God’s Names
22
God- the Father who carries his children, in whom we can trust (Deut 1:30-31) God- the Father who disciplines his children, in whom we recognise His true love (Deut 8:2-5) God- the Father who adopts us in whom we have redemption, forgiveness of sins and eternal security (Psalm 68:4-6). God- the Father who pities his children, to whom we are grateful (Psalm 103:8-14).
23
(Psalm 103:8-14) The L ORD is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. 9 He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever. 10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. 13 As a father pities his children, So the L ORD pities those who fear Him
24
Psalm 103 reflects on God’s declaration of His self-identity given to Moses in Exodus 34:6-7 “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness... forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin”
25
Psalm 103 exalts the forgiving grace of God, in that, God himself does not deal with us as our sins deserve. He himself has ‘removed our transgression from us’ 1 Peter 2:24 says: “ Christ himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; ‘by his wounds you have been healed’ ”
26
Psalm 103 colours the compassionate grace of God in dealing with our sins by using three metaphors; vv. 11. 12. 13 ; Horizontal- As far the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions Relational- As father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. Vertical- For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for us
27
Just as a human father watches with loving understanding as his son struggles with some man-sized load, so our heavenly Father look down in pity on us in our weakness. He empathize with our weaknesses Heb 4:15
28
Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His Holy Name! Bless the LORD O my soul; and forget not all His benefits” Psalm 103:1-2
