Repeat Visitors 76% First-time Visitors 24% Among repeat visitors… 33% had visited 1-3 times; 67% had visited 4+ times (over past 5 years). Most stay for a week or more. Frequent visitors (4+ times in 5 years) are more likely to rate weekend traffic a problem and also rate parking at Assateague Beach a problem. Repeat visitors are more likely to not want any changes to occur.

But about a third categorize traffic congestion as a “problem” on the weekend. b A similar pattern was found for perceived parking problems.
