2 MARATHON It’s a run at a distance of 42 km 195 m, The name comes from the town Marathon in Greece, At the first Olympic Games marathon was 40 km long, The first Polish marathon took place in Koszyce in 1897, Men’s marathon is the end of all Olympic Games, Women’s marathon joined the Olympic program in 1984 in Los Angeles.

3 The faster man in Europe was António Pinto from Portuguese. His time was 2.06.36.

4 The faster woman in Europe was Paula Radcliffe from Great Britain. Her time was 2.15.25.

5 ABOUT MARATHON IN HOLLAND Every year it takes place in Rotterdam, This year it is on the 13th April, There are about 7530 contestants, This year it will be the 34th edition, Last year the winner was Tilahun Regassa from Ethiopia.

6 OLYMPIC GAMES The oldest and the biggest international sport event organized every four years in different countries.
