VOLUNTARY ACTIONS THESE ARE THE MUSCLE ACTIONS THAT YOU CONTROL. EXAMPLES: TALKING, SMILING, WAVING, WALKING, JUMPING, ETC. INVOLUNTARY ACTIONS THESE ARE THE MUSCLE ACTIONS THAT ARE AUTOMATIC AND OUT OF YOUR CONTROL. EXAMPLES: BREATHING AND DIGESTING.

SKELETAL MUSCLES: ARE ATTACHED TO YOUR BONES. SMOOTH MUSCLES: ARE INVOLUNTARY MUSCLES FOUND INSIDE ORGANS. CARDIAC MUSCLES: HAVE COMMONALITIES WITH SKELETAL AND SMOOTH MUSCLES. THESE MUSCLES CONTRACT TO PUMP BLOOD THROUGH YOUR BODY.

Frontalis: head muscles. Sartorious: more commonly known as the ‘thigh‘ muscles. Biceps Femoris: more commonly known as the ‘Hamstrings‘ muscles. Rectus Femoris: one of the four Quadriceps muscles. Gastrocnemius: more commonly known as the ‘Calf‘ muscles. Soleus: is a muscle in the back part of the lower leg (the calf).

MUSCLES CAN ONLY CONTRACT, THEY CAN NOT EXTEND. FOR THIS REASON SKELETAL MUSCLES WORK IN PAIRS. ONE MUSCLE CONTRACTS, WHILE THE OTHER RETURNS TO IT’S ORIGIONAL LENGTH.
8
MUSCLES NEED TO BE EXCERSIED. A MUSCLE CAN LOOSE IT’S FLEXABILITY AND STRETCHINESS IF IT IS NOT CONTRACTED OFTEN. REMEMBER, USE IT OR LOSE IT! IF YOU DON’T USE YOUR MUSCLES, THEY MAY BECOME WEAK AND SOFT.
