2. W ELCOME ! We are thrilled to have you on the team. The Vivion Road Family YMCA Blue Wave swim team began in 2001 with just 12 swimmers. Today our team has reorganized to the Kansas City Blue Wave Swim Team and grown to over 110 swimmers. We are a USA Swimming and YMCA team that competes in local, regional and national competitions. In addition to our USA Swimming competitive team, we have a club team where swimmers learn all the competitive strokes and still participate in swim meets, but in a more recreational environment. The mission of Blue Wave is to establish a swim team where swimmers, coaches and parents work together in a spirit of cooperation to develop not only first class swimmers, but also first class citizens emphasizing the Y core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Practice Starts September 3 rd – Check online for schedule Swimmers must swim only during their roster group practice All swimmers need proper swim gear (suit, goggles, fins, towel, water bottle) and dryland attire (workout clothes, sock, tennis shoes) USA Swimming guidelines prohibit parents from being on deck during practice or at a meet Communication Email: Login and verify all account information is accurate.
