Local offices of the Agency for Real Estate Cadastre in the country have decreased the time required to register a property transaction to 5 days 2005 - 98 days for first registration 2009 – 60 days for first registration 2013 – less than 30 days for first registration 5. Today, Macedonia has more than 280 licensed surveyors and 140 registered geodetic companies providing geodetic services to the citizens.

Conclusions – Lessons learned 1.Macedonia has good legislation that regulates ownership rights over real properties in the country 2. Establishment of the private geodetic practice 3. Establishment of MAKPOS GNSS network 4. The well-designed IT system, filled with the data on real properties obtained via the RECRP provides reliable geospatial data and real property data for the general public and the business sector 5. Simplified and efficient procedures 6. Big impact for the economy and investments

Continuous education and training 4. Continuous communication with the citizens, listening and solving issues related to REC 5. Improved trust of the people in the institution and bigger satisfaction - Transparency
