3 Scope of STF421 The STF421 develops a set of specifications for the certification test of the CEN DSRC - ITS G5 coexistence mechanisms and the ITS – G5 Dynamic Congestion Control (DCC) mechanisms. STF421 overview 3

6 Milestones of STF421 2011 Milestone A: ITSWG4#15 (21 June), ETSI Progress Report #1 and first draft of DTS/ITS-0040022 (PICS), DTS/ITS- 0040023 (TSS&TPs), DTS/ITS-0040024 (ATS). Milestone B: 1 st September 2011 Interim Report to be approved by EC/EFTA. The Interim Report must be delivered by the STF Leader to the ETSI Secretariat before 1st September 2011. The deadline for delivery to EC/EFTA by the ETSI Secretariat is 30 September; EC/EFTA approval is expected mid- November Milestone C: ITS#9, ETSI (October 2011) Progress Report #2 and stable drafts of DTS/ITS-0040022, 023, 025 First drafts of DTS/ITS-0040025 (PICS), DTS/ITS-0040026 (TSS&TPs), DTS/ITS-0040027 (ATS) STF421 overview 6
