4. Nice to Know If you or a student/child gets a small burn run cold water over the burn for 10 minutes. -Never use butter, grease or ice. -If skin blisters or is charred see a doctor. Cook Carefully -Try to not wear really baggy/lose clothing when cooking. -Put your hair up -Turn pot handles inward so you or your child can’t bump into them. - Enforce a kid free zone when cooking in the kitchen -If a fire occurs when cooking with grease, put a lid over the pan to smother the flames and turn the heat off.

All extension cords are used safely. Space heaters are 3 feet away from anything that can burn. The furnace has been inspected in the past year. The chimney has been inspected and cleaned in the past year.
