Marc Chagall (1889-1985) From large, Jewish family in Russia. Studied in Paris, France Developed his own style: bright colors & dream like images Influenced by CUBISM & SURREALISM Lived in France & Italy until he was 96.

A 20 th century style of art Is a picture broken into many shapes(each shapes will have different colors form the other colors around it.) Has multiple viewpoints, a style associated with the works of artist Pablo Picasso. CUBISM

Positive Space: The actual space taken up by the line, shape, or form. Negative Space: The empty surrounding a shape, figure, or form in a two or three dimensional artwork.
