Stock Tournament The Stock Tournament… You get $100,000.00 to invest in any 3-5 companies you want. The goal is to have the best stock portfolio at the end of the tournament, and to beat the other classes that are playing against you. You are advised not to have more than about 5 stocks. You must have at least 3 stocks at all times, and cannot have more than $10,000.00 in your “bank account” at a time. Good luck, and happy investing.

Summary All together I did well. I always had about 5 stocks I was watching. There was a time at the beginning when my stocks were low, and then they came up and I did well for a time. They stayed up for about three weeks, and then I made one decision, one, and they fell considerably, taking me from around $112,000 to $102,000. That just goes to show that one wrong move can lose you a bundle of money.
