2 Tournaments Tournaments began in 11th century France. A Tournament can be called a tourney. A tourney is the name popularly given to chivalrous competitions or mock fights of the middle ages and Renaissance. A mock fight is an arranged fight that is fake. Like wrestling.

3 Jousting Jousting offered large sums of money, although dangerous. It consists of a series of competitions using a variety of weapons usually in sets of 3 per weapon (such as tilting with a lance, blows with a battle axe, strokes with a dagger or sword), often as part of the tournament.
