Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity Mission partnership between Thrivent Financial ® and Habitat for Humanity ® International. Since Thrivent Builds began, over $200 million dollars has been given to Habitat. Provides a “hand up” to people who lack decent shelter and helps them achieve greater economic independence. Offers many ways to get involved.
6
Thrivent Builds Worldwide Travel domestically or abroad to work with Habitat affiliates and partner families. Volunteers immerse themselves in another culture. Build simple, decent, affordable homes in partnership with the families who will live in them. Trips last a weekend to two weeks Enjoy free time, local tours and outdoor activities.
7
A hand up, not a hand out Volunteers work side by side with homeowners to build homes. Homeowners put in hundreds of hours of labor building their home, as well as homes for others. Homeowners buy their homes with no- profit, no-interest mortgages. Their mortgage payments are used to build more homes.
