Activate your PSU ID  ALL OF OUR SERVICES DEPEND ON THIS STEP!!!  Once you get your PSU ID you will need to visit a Signature Station  Signature Stations can be found at  http://ait.its.psu.edu/services/identity-access- management/identity/accounts/sigstations.html http://ait.its.psu.edu/services/identity-access- management/identity/accounts/sigstations.html  Until you have done this none of the following will work!!!

3. Accessing the Wireless Network  Connect to “PennState” Wireless Network  Navigate to the wireless.psu.edu/setup page  Select appropriate OS for your machine  Follow steps  Upon completion you can connect to the “PSU” Wireless Network  “PSU” Network works campus-wide

4. EMS Wireless  Wireless available inside the college only  Useful for access to college resources  If you are a PC user and have the SecureW2 package from previous step you should be able to log in  MAC Users  If you are running MAC OS 10.7 or 10.8 you will need to install an additional.mobileconfig file for you  Go to http://www.personal.psu.edu/bli/ems-wpa_ems-vpn.mobileconfighttp://www.personal.psu.edu/bli/ems-wpa_ems-vpn.mobileconfig  Only available for download today. Otherwise come see us at the Help Desk in 246 for the file  Please do not attempt to connect your Mobile Device (i.e. smartphone, i-Devices) to the “EMS-WPA” network due to limited resources

5. VPN  VPN is used to access Printers, Fileshares, and licensed software while outside of our Network  For PC  Download the software from downloads.its.psu.edu  Under Connecting to Penn State – Select VPN  For MAC  Part of the second.mobileconfig file from the previous step  Go to it.ems.psu.edu/node/357 to activate VPN access

6. Kerberos Key  Used to access Fileshares and connect to Servers  You can use Penn State credentials to access these after the Key is installed  Go to downloads.its.psu.edu  Under File Transfer Select:  Kerberos settings for PASS and Udrive Access  Download and install  PC double click on it and it will install  MAC drag and drop into /Library/Preferences folder

7. Connecting to Department Copiers  You will need a copier code as page usage is monitored  Visit Karen Liddick in room 503 if you do not have one  Follow instructions on our support site  PC - http://it.ems.psu.edu/node/627  MAC OSX - http://it.ems.psu.edu/node/628http://it.ems.psu.edu/node/628

8. Accounts & Access  We also grant access to log on to certain machines or fileshares as needed:  Complete as best as you can http://it.ems.psu.edu/node/605http://it.ems.psu.edu/node/605  If you have problems print and submit a paper form located at http://it.ems.psu.edu/node/23 to the Help Deskhttp://it.ems.psu.edu/node/23  You may need to confer with colleagues or advisors to know what you will need access to  You can start the process by submitting the form…
