CTS: 2011 Activities Technical Seminar in Taipei’s NTU, 14 th January 2011 at NTU, 5 Speakers and attended by 150 people. Humanitech 2011 Combining 2 Events in 1, 4 th March 2011 at UGM, Jogkajarta, 6 Speakers and attended by 100 people. Chinese Leadership Workshop July 201, Beijing. Adoption of Spring TENCON for R10, approved at Sections Congress (August 2011) in SF, Need to open for bidding by next R10 Annual Meeting in Kolkata. TENCON 2011 – Bali, Indonesia 276 papers accepted out of 500 submissions, Over 300 participants.

CTS: 2011 Other Conferences R10 Technical Co-Sponsorship – ISMS 2012 – UK Simulation Society. Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. – ICEIC(International Conference on Electronics, Information and Communication) February 1-3, 2012 High1 Resort, Pyungchang, Korea General chairs: Kukjin Chun (SNU, Korea) and Stephen Dukes (IEEE CE Society) One and a half day technical program with 6 parallel tracks presenting about 300 papers in oral and poster sessions.

CTS : 2012 Workplan To assist Philippines Section to hold TENCON 2012, – Cebu, Philippines, – mid November, 2012. Monitor and assist TENCON 2013 preparation in Xian, China, Select winning bid for TENCON Spring 2013, Open bidding for TENCON 2014, Kickoff DLP.

EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES (EAC): 2011 Activities EAC Support Fund – 53 applications. – Evaluate, award, and monitor 18 educational activities projects (from 6 countries and 12 sections) – Focused on the technical symposium / workshop, soft skill development, and educational outreach. TISP (Teacher in Service Program) in R10 – Initiated 2 TISPs and pre university outreach projects in Thailand, – Facilitated the set up of IEEE TISP India Ad Hoc Committee under R10 EAC.

EAC: 2012 Workplan Promote EA among Sections, Organize F2F meeting and Special Tracks in Tencon 2012 in Cebu, Philippines, Coordinate with EAB for IEEE TISP workshop in Australia, Assist in the organization of accreditation seminars, Provide input to Section outreach Committee (SEOC) of EAB and participate in SEOC monthly conference call.

Professional Activities and History (PAH): 2011 Activities Started promoting information on free e-books and webinars, History website done, IEEE already has a History Centre with an IEEE History Committee.

PAH: 2012 Workplan Do an audit of professionals in the 57 sections – start by 20 sections first, Continue highlighting list of e-books available and webinars which can be used as a basis for conducting courses, Compile list of Sections that shall celebrate their 25 th anniversary with their history.

Industry Relations (IRC): 2011 Activities Increased industry members in 44 Sections out of 57, Hosted Industry Day, jointly with MGA, at Bangalore on 10th & 11th March, Awarded MMI (Most Members from Industry) to Beijing Section. Awarded MIMI (Maximum increase in members from Industry) to Bangladesh Section.

IRC: 2012 Workplan To review Industry Relation activities in Sections, – whether or not they have Industry Relation Chair, – get statistics of members from industries. To organize 1 major event with MGA,

Humanitarian Technology Activities (HTA): 2011 Activities Organized Humanitarian Technology Hour during WIE Student's/GOLD/WIE congress in Auckland, and IEEE India Student's Congress, Organized a Panel Discussion at the INDICON event at Hyderabad, Launched Special Interest Group (SIG) on Humanitarian Technology at Trivandrum India, Helped Pakistan Fund - 4 projects.

HTA: 2012 Workplan To create SIGHT in 20% of Sections, To organize HT Tracks in major conferences of the Region including TENCONs, To create an exclusive webpage/website in R10 website, To plan for a major Humanitarian Conference in 2013.

2012: TAC Major Projects CTS: – Kickoff TENCON Spring in 2013. Make it more thematic and focused, – Organize Technical Seminars at Colombo and Kolkata (done), – Revive DLPs for Sections. EAC: – Engage Section Chairs Workshop to share their experience (starting with Kolkata meeting), – Organize a 1-day Seminar on EA in TENCON 2012, IRC: – Organize 1-joint activity with MGA, HTA: – Form SIGHT in 20% of R10 Sections and carry out HTA projects in those Sections, – Organize HTA Tracks in major R10 conferences such as TENCON to create awareness,

TAC: Looking Forward To get feedback from Sections what else they would like to see from TAC, Examples: Better technical events that can be more beneficial to our members such as DLPs, To organize a kind of regional POCO to educate local conference organizers? Use of Webminar, Virtual Meetings?
