3 What is a choice-board? A table of differentiated activities that address a variety of skills A simple way of giving students a choice in what assignment they do. Why a choice-board? An opportunity for students to work at their level of comfort. A way to increase student engagement. It can be used in any subject area.

4 What form should it take? This is a simple format, but it can be made into any type of shape you want!

6 How do choice boards work in class? Create a tic-tac-toe table for the end of a unit and assign a row, column or diagonal. Create a larger choice-board for a semester and assign one for every week – it’s a great alternative to workbook activities! Create a smaller table and offer it as a summative assessment.
